I am related to the Thomas Lynch you seek. Here is what I have for the Family Tree:MACK (1) Lynch is the first generation of Lynch to arrive in South Carolina that I have been able to find - so far.Mack's son Thomas(1) (1727-1776) was a member of the Continental Congress and died during the Revolutionary War.Thomas(1) and his first wife (Elizabeth Alleston) were the parents of Thomas(2) Lynch, the signer of the Declaration of Independence on behalf of South Carolina. Thomas(1) and second wife (Selma Vanderhorst) are the parents of Mack(2) Lynch. If anyone has information concerning Mack(1) I would really appreciate hearing from you.

My Great Grandfather was Lillius Aiden Lynch, b.1862, my lineage continuing back through Lewis W. Lynch, Gray Lynch, and to William Lynch. I do not have much information at this time on Joseph, but I have been trying to find out which wife of William's son Gray, born 1788. He had a brother named Joseph, b 1808. There is a book available through LDS, entitled "Our Lynch Line". It had many of the same articles as "Lynch Families of the Southern States". Please let me know if you know the Mother of Gray, and the order of marriages. Thanks MJS

Gray was my GGGgrandfather, as his son Lewis was my GGgrandfather. Lewis was one of Aden's younger brothers, and stayed in Bell Buckle, TN. I show Adin(Aden) born Sep 26, 1813, died Feb 1, 1891. Married a Susan (last name not sure) and a Mary Martin. Aden moved to Mississippi, then to Arkansas. I have more details, but would like to compare with what you have. You may email me at lightup2@bellsouth.net

Joseph would have been my 3rd Great Grand Uncle. My 3rd great grandfather was Adin Lynch, Joseph's brother. The book "Lynch Families of the Southern States" is a book published in 1966 that lists a great deal of information on Lynch families in the South (obviously). It was compiled by a Lois Hines who was researching her family (Joseph Penn Lynch). There is a lot of info on Lynch's from Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virgina. There is varying information on Lynch's from most of the other Southern states as well. And a little bit on the Lynch's of Ireland and England. The only info I have on Joseph Lynch is that he was born in 1808 in Brunswick County, VA, Married in 1843, moved to Ohio somewhere between 1843 and 1846, and died in Ohio sometime after 1850. Mr. Bill Lynch of Georgia has been tremendously helpful in helping me learn about my family. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention him....The text of William Lynch's will is in the book (not a photo copy of it however). Here it is...WILL OF WILLIAM LYNCH Sr.WILL BOOK - VOL. 13, PAGE 148LAWRENCEVILLE, VIRGINIAIN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN.
