William Charles Lynch, a Irish Catholic, came to America in 1720. He was born c.1705 in Ireland and died 1753 in Albermarle Co, Virginia. He founded 'Lynchburgh' Virginia along with John Clark, and others. He married Sarah Clark, the daughter of Christoper Clark and Penelope Bolling. Sarah Clark was a Quaker, she md 2nd Dec 17, 1766 John Ward(or Word). Does anyone know if Judith Lynch b. c. 1722 in Va, who married Henry Hardin b. 1710 d. 1796 is their daughter? I also have William Charles Lynch, Jr. b. abt. 1736 Albemarle Co, Va,' Chestnut Hill' and d. Oct 29, 1796 in Cambell, Va md Jan 12,1755 Ann Terrell b. I am a 4th gr grandson of Gray Lynch through his son Lewis and his son Lillius Aden (Toga) Linch. I am seeking info on Gray and Lewis. My gr gr grand father Lillus Aden (Toga) Linch was born in Bedford County, TN married Janie King Scruggs, also from Bedford County. They moved to Carrol County, Arkansas where they are both buried. My aunt is attempting to link everyone up for the DAR and we don't have much on Gray and Lewis. I appreciate any assistance that might be provided. "

I may have the info on Gray Lynch if it's the one that died on 10/22/1872 in Bedford Co TN. One of his sons was named Adin and died in Jonesboro, Ark 2/1/1891. My phone # is 502-239-1863 Louisville, KY Lewis was the youngest and died 1/15/1910 in Bell Buckle, TN. William Lynch is the patriarch of our line in the US and had 34 children. He died in 1837. "
